Spurs are up and running and look to be the closest contenders to the two Manchester clubs in terms of challenging for the Premier League title this term as Chelsea continue to falter.
The former White Hart Lane outfit, now based at Wembley, have finally hit some form and in Harry Kane they have arguably the top number nine in world football, a striker capable of smashing in 30 goals with ease season upon season.
However, here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks the club need to add some strength in depth up top, and there’s a certain young forward on the books at Ajax he thinks could come in and be a future star for Spurs. That player? Son of former Holland legend Patrick, Justin Kluivert.
Still only 18-years-old, the youngster already looks to have all the hallmarks of being a top player, and despite not hitting the back of the net this season as yet, the striker has been putting in some impressive displays in his minutes on the field.
It’s not just his fathers reputation what marks him out though, far from it. He has bags of ability and potential of his own, and if he can go on to replicate the success his father did have, then he won’t have done badly at all.
Spurs need new faces up top, and what better way to add to the squad then get a young striker in who is willing to play second fiddle to Harry Kane while learning his trade along the way? Kluivert would be an excellent capture.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
