Spurs' summer window did not quite go as they might have planned, with Mauricio Pochettino failing to add any new names to a squad which has done so well in the last couple of years.

Their poor form in the last few weeks has only served to further put pressure on that lack of transfer activity, and Pochettino will be hoping for an upturn in form and then some backing in January if he is to continue his already excellent work with the Londoners.

However, players will be out there who will be open to making a move, and one man we think could do a job for Spurs is underused Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The £5.4m-rated ace started the season for Jose Mourinho's men, taking his place in the first XI and looking like he was going to be a regular for the Red Devils over the course of the campaign.

However, that notion seems to have come to a halt, as Pereira has lost his place and now looks set for a spell back on the bench under Mourinho.

Spurs though could do with some additions in the middle of the park, and while Pereira would still need to force his way into the line up for the London club, his chances would seemingly be higher than those he currently has with United.

Pereira has the ability to succeed, he just needs a run in the team and a manager who is confident in him, meaning Spurs could well be the place for him long term.

Spurs and United fans, what do you think to this? Would a move work? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
