Spurs' lack of summer signings appears to be coming back to bite them, with a loss this weekend at home to Liverpool not the ideal start back from the international break.

The Londoners made do with their squad from last season, but the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, and Christian Eriksen are all looking tired to an extent, and the January window cannot come soon enough for Pochettino's men as it stands.

However, one player we think that the club could look to sign is Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata, who has become something of a bit-part player for the Red Devils over the last six months or so.

However, the Spaniard remains a class act, and is a player who oozes ability, experience, and a trophy winning mentality which is desperately needed at Spurs it would seem.

Mata is too good to be sat doing nothing on the bench for United, and a move to Spurs could well reinvigorate a player who was once a Chelsea player of the season for two seasons in a row.

Spurs quite simply need new additions, and signing someone like Mata from a top four rival could prove to be a shrewd piece of business.

Spurs fans, what do you think? Would Mata be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
