Spurs should swoop for this £18.7m-rated former Premier League forward this summer

It’s been another season of impressive performances for Spurs and their young squad, and although they look set to lose out on the league title to Chelsea, they can hold their heads high.

This summer will represent a big chance for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to press on even further, and delve into the transfer market to add what he will consider missing pieces of his jigsaw.

The Spurs fans here in the Tavern have been in a good mood of late, and plenty of ale has been sunk by them this season as performances have improved and the goals have flown in.

However, our landlord has got the impression that they want even more goals, and one player who could bring those goals is former Man United man Javier Hernandez.

Valued at £18.7m by Transfermarkt, the Mexican has thrived in the Bundesliga this season, and even drew praise from Jose Mourinho earlier in the season.

Spurs need to reduce the weight on Harry Kane’s shoulders, and ‘Chicharito’ is the ideal man to come in and do just that. He might not be the obvious choice, but at 28, still has plenty to offer, and could well be the answer for Pochettino this summer.

His poaching ability, top class finishing, and experience in the top European leagues make him an ideal signing, and one who could well have a point to prove back in the Premier League again.

Spurs fans, what do you think to this? Would you welcome Hernandez? Who would you like to see come in during the summer? Let us know!
