Spurs are enjoying another decent season so far under Mauricio Pochettino and they continue to make good progress in both Europe and in the Premier League.
The Wembley based club – for this season anyway – have slowly built over the last few years to become one of the most entertaining and best sides in the Premier League, and under their Argentinian manager they look well set to be a top four club for the foreseeable future.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that Spurs will be Premier League champions eventually, but he still feels they could do with a few more options in terms of attacking players, and he thinks the club should look to go all out to sign Leicester starlet Demarai Gray.
The Englishman has been improving on a weekly basis this season and with Liverpool interested in his services as well, Spurs should look to make the first move in January.
Gray would offer Spurs something a bit different down either flank, and while the likes of Son and Sissoko are good direct runners, Gray has that little bit of flair about him, where he can create out of nothing and put the opposition on the back foot.
Gray did indeed sign a new deal with Leicester only this week, showing the Foxes value Gray, and t hey would no doubt demand a decent sum, but Spurs have a rich history of late of developing and progressing young talent, and Gray could well be the latest name added to an ever growing stellar list of top young players.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
