Spurs plodded their way to a 1-1 draw with West Ham United this week, further highlighting the need for the club to bring in some reinforcements in January who can make a difference during the busy schedule of fixtures the Premier League throws up.
With Harry Kane failing to bag over the last two games, it once again showed a need for Mauricio Pochettino to venture into the transfer market and try and sign a new striker to take the pressure off Kane’s shoulders.
Our landlord her in the Tavern thinks it’s crucial Spurs do this, and despite the addition of Fernando Llorente in the summer, he thinks another striker is needed, and believes that Celtic star Moussa Dembele could be the ideal signing for the Londoners.
The speedy former Fulham striker has impressed massively up in Scotland, developing into a genuine top quality threat in front of goal and showing signs of significant improvement under the stewardship of manager Brendan Rodgers.
However, his time could well be coming to an end in the SPL, with a host of clubs sniffing around to sign him, and Spurs should make sure they are the head of the that queue.
Dembele possesses bags of pace, a clinical instinct in front of goal, and a the ability to stretch defences and take the strain off Harry Kane, something Spurs are crying out for. Dembele simply must be at the top of Spurs’ list of targets this January.
