Suarez was one of the most highly sought players this summer after an impressive World Cup and he has scored nine goals in nine games this term already for Ajax this season.
The Uruguayan striker is understood to be happy at his current club, but Ajax could be persuaded to sell him in order to help ease the financial problems they are experiencing.
Suarez has responded to the transfer speculation surrounding him admitting that‘Ajax’s financial position is the only reason I’m even thinking of a transfer’
‘But if I leave Ajax, I will go to a club where real football is played. I have never asked for a transfer. If I felt I was finished here I would say that but I don’t. I can achieve what I want here. We must win the (domestic) championship and do something in the Champions League.’
Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus and Spanish Club Sevilla have also recently been linked with Suarez who is valued at upwards of £20 million, though the severity of Ajax’s financial situation could mean they are open to negotiation.
