Punters have been arguing whether young talent outweighs big money signings, as Ross Barkley is ranked ahead of £36m Manchester United forward Anthony Martial; with England having bragging rights with four of the top seven heralding from our shores.
EA SPORTS Player Performance Index has revealed the intriguing numbers, as they display the seven best performing U21 players so far in this Premier League season.
Whilst Everton have the highest ranked player, United fans have been quick to point out that three of the seven are from their club; with Martial, Memphis Depay and Luke Shaw all making the cut.
Manchester City punters have also barked up to claim the signing of Raheem Sterling was a bargain, whilst Norwich City fans have something to smile about with Nathan Redmond’s inclusion.
Over in a dark corner of the pub, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans are keeping quiet- they don’t want to get involved in this one!
