Rangers will be looking to pip Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title this season having splashed the cash throughout the summer transfer window.
The Bluenoses will be a force to be reckoned with this season as they have drafted in a number of quality players that have already made an impact in recent matches. And, it looks as if Steven Gerrard wants to bring in even more players, as according to the Daily Record, Gerrard wants Bournemouth’s Jack Simpson on loan.
Rangers are targeting a loan deal for Premier League defender Jack Simpson, as Steven Gerrard wants to make him his 11th signing of the summer.
Indeed, the central defender is highly rated by Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and made his debut for the first-team in the last campaign.
Interestingly, the Glasgow side already have Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson at their disposal, so the youngster would provide stiff competition at the heart of the defence.
The Bluenoses are looking to make moves on the transfer front once again as Steven Gerrard continues to build his squad at Ibrox.
If the Liverpool legend can manage to get all of his new signings playing to their full potential then Rangers could be in with a chance of upsetting Celtic this season.
And, with the impressive Jack Simpson possibly making his way to Scotland in the form of a loan deal, things are only going to get better.
