Stoke fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping Mark Hughes can build on last season revolutionary season by bringing in players who are capable of improving the first.
According to The Sun, Stoke are pursuing Egyptian striker Ramadan Sobhi from Al Ahly to enhance their attacking options and they have tabled an offer of £3.5 million.
Hughes sees this as a bargain buy and it’s believed the 19-year-old will be placed into the under-21 side before being used in the first team.
That doesn’t mean he may not be relied upon later on in the season as he has the versatility to play in both midfield and as a forward.
His current manager is former Tottenham boss Martin Jol, who is currently refusing to budge on the sale, as he believes they can demand at least double of what The Potters have already offered.
