Stoke City bid for teenage star, Arsenal and Roma reportedly interested

Stoke CityWhile everybody’s eyes in the Transfer Tavern are glued to the Tavern TV as the Euro’s are underway, perhaps the stoke fans my pay attention to the rumour of a possible name coming to their club.

ESPN have reported that Stoke City have made a bid for Egyptian international Ramadan Sobhi. The attacking midfielder has worked his way up Egyptian side Al Ahly’s youth system and Arsenal have already tried to take the youngster on trial earlier this year.

Sobhi has been attracting interest from Italian side Roma after debuting into the Egyptian national team at the game of 17.

However, it seems that Stoke are trying to capitalise on Roma and Arsenal’s reluctance to bid by placing an offer for Sobhi. Mark Hughes is looking to further strengthen his attacking options which boasts the likes of ¬†Shaqiri, Bojan and Arnautovic.

With the future of Arnautovic unsure this may indicate that the Austrian may not be at the club by the end of the Transfer window.

Stoke City fans… Would you welcome Sobhi at your club? Who else should you bring in? Let us know in the comments below!
