Stoke City boss hints at summer move for Chelsea legend

It’s been a decent season all round for Stoke City and manager Mark Hughes, who has one again guided his Potters side to safety!

The Stoke City fans lining the bar here in the pub have been happy with what they’ve seen from their team this time around and there’s genuine hope that they can build on that finish next season.

But with the transfer market set to be as competitive as we’ve ever seen it before, there’s some worry that the club might get left behind when it comes to bringing in new talent.

However, one man we might see making the move to Staffordshire in the coming months is Chelsea skipper John Terry, who Hughes hinted might be making the move to the club over the summer, if the terms are right.

“Whether or not we’d be able to present anything to John that would make him think (about coming here), I don’t know. I haven’t had that conversation,” he told the Stoke Sentinel.

“We spoke briefly after the Chelsea game here this year and had a laugh and a joke about things – but whether that constitutes me personally asking about his future, I don’t know,” Hughes added.

Wherever Terry ends up this summer, it’s thought he’ll be still playing at a good level but the Potters fans here in the pub think the England legend would be a fantastic addition who would bring some real experience to the club.

Stoke fans- what do you make of this- would you like to see Terry sign? Leave your thoughts down below!
