Stoke City chasing £2.5m move for in-demand Bundesliga man

The Stoke City fans in the Transfer Tavern are constantly telling us that they need to fix a problem position – full back!

Stoke have been forced to play striker Mame Biram Diouf at right wing back on occasions this year, such has been their lack of options in that department.

But the Potters could be about to solve this issue.

According to an exclusive report by The Sun, Stoke City are in the hunt to sign Daniel Opare.

Augsburg defender Daniel Opare could be available on the cheap when the winter transfer window opens in the new year because his current contract with the Bundesliga outfit is set to expire in the summer.

While Augsburg are desperate for the Ghana international to pen fresh terms, he could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Stoke City are not alone in admiring Opare though.

Premier League rivals Everton and Watford are also thought to be mulling over a swoop while AC Milan, Sevilla and Marseille have been credited with an interest too.

Previously at Porto and Real Madrid, Opare has been with Augsburg since making the move to Germany in 2015.

It is thought that the 27-year-old would cost Stoke around £2.5m.
