The Liverpool Telegraph is reporting that the Premier League side have issued a hands off warning to Everton after speculation linked Mark Hughes with taking over from Roberto Martinez.

Stoke have been quick to pour water on those rumours that linked the former player to the role at the club adamant that he is happy with life at the Brittania Stadium.

A statement from Stoke read:

“The club’s board is confident Hughes would not be tempted by a move to Goodison Park even if he was approached at the end of the season. And Hughes himself has previously brushed aside similar speculation by insisting he owes Stoke some loyalty after they offered him a passport back into the Premier League three years ago.”

The Stoke fans in The Tavern are delighted that the board have come out and told another where to go, and are confident that Mark Hughes will still be at the club when next season kicks off.
