The Stoke City fans who are having a friendly game of pool in The Football Transfer Tavern are getting excited over the news that the Potters have made a huge offer for a fellow Premier League striker.
According to a report on Sky Sports, Tony Pulis’s side have made a £20m offer for West Brom’s striker Saido Berahino.
The striker rejected a new four-year-deal to stay at with the Baggies and is looking to end his time at The Hawthorns this summer.
The Englishman’s future at the club has been in doubt over the last few transfer windows and it appears as though the saga could now be set to reach a conclusion with Stoke meeting the Midland club’s valuation of the player who has one year left on his current deal.
The departure of the 22-year-old will leave Tony Pulis with just two strikers on his books, the forward has made 100 appearances for his to date netting on 23 occasions.
Stoke fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of this deal? Can Mark Hughes get the best out of Berahino? Let us know below…
