The Stoke City fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing comments made by one of their current players.
During an interview with BBC Radio 5 live Charlie Adam revealed that he expects to see team mate Jack Butland plying his trade at one of the big clubs in England in the future.
Butland has been in inspired form for Stoke City this season and has excelled more that Mark Hughes would have expected from the goalkeeper during his first full season as the club’s number one keeper.
The 23 year old’s performances for his club this season had seen him selected for the England side, but unfortunately for Butland he fractured his ankle during the first half of England’s friendly win in Germany which ruled him out for the rest of the season and EURO 2016.
Our landlord in The Tavern is convinced that Butland is going to be one of the world’s best keepers in years to come.
As for the Stoke fans they would love to see Butland remain at the club for sometime yet to further his career rather than waste important years sat on the bench at a so called bigger club.
Is Butland deserving of a move to a bigger club? Let us know in the comments below!
