The Stoke City fans are gathered at the jukebox selecting some tunes in The Transfer Tavern and discussing reports their keeper is set to be offered a new deal with the club.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Jack Butland has been offered a deal that will see his wages doubled as the club look to fend off interest from the so called bigger clubs.
Butland has made the number one spot his own at Stoke this season and some great performances for his club has seen the young keeper called up to the England squad.
Of course, impressive performances bring admirers and Stoke chiefs are hopeful they can strike a new deal and keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.
Our landlord in The Tavern believes that Butland has all the credentials to go as far as he wants to in the game and if Stoke can persuade him to sign a new deal they will benefit greatly.
As for the Stoke fans in The Tavern they echo the landlords sentiments and believe that Butland would be better off remaining with them and playing regularly rather than sitting on a bench at a so called bigger club.
