Stoke City are now firmly one of the Premier League’s most consistent and tough to beat teams, and manager Mark Hughes is doing an excellent job in the main.

Our landlord has been garnering some opinions off the Stoke lot here in the Tavern, and the general consensus is that the club need to invest in a few younger players, with the likes of Glenn Whelan potentially moving on this summer.
One young star Stoke could try and make a big move for is Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira, who shone last term and delivered consistently excellent performances under Garry Monk.
While Leeds ultimately fell away from the playoffs, Vieira was still a standout performer. He is still a teenager, and appears to have the world at his feet, with many predicting he will be worth huge money in the future.
This is where Stoke could steal a march though, and snap up the exciting central midfielder ahead of what is likely to be a long queue of clubs chasing his signature.
Vieira is certainly one of the best talents outside of the Premier League, and he could excel under Hughes and become the lynchpin of the Stoke side for years to come.
