Stoke City have had another good week in the Premier League and a top-ten finish remains on the cards, much to the delight of their fans here in the Transfer Tavern!
Led by Mark Hughes, the Potters are an established top-flight side these days and gone is the long-ball football that was once associated with the club during the Tony Pulis era.
Our barman here at the pub has one real favourite amongst this current group of Potters stars and it’s not the likes of Shaqiri as you might expect.
It’s 32-year-old right-back Glen Johnson, who, according to the Telegraph, is set to ignore interest from West Ham United to sign a new deal at the Britannia Stadium.
The former Liverpool man is in advanced talks over a new one-year contract and is expected to sign on for another term in the coming days, much to the delight of our Potters-supporting barman!
Stoke fans- a decent player to have signed a new deal? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
