Over the years here in the Transfer Tavern, striker Peter Crouch has given many fans happy times, with some clinical form in front of goal for a series of clubs and of course on the international stage.
Having fallen down the pecking order at Stoke City, it is anticipated that he might leave the Potters during the January transfer window and one Stoke fan has spotted an article in The Telegraph that has confirmed the striker’s desire to leave. He said to the rag: “If I can’t play, then maybe I do have to move on.
“I played 33 or 34 Premier League games last season so to not have featured as regularly this season has been very frustrating.
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks at 34-years-old the time has come for Crouch to drop into the Championship, and with Leeds showing an interest a move to the second tier could yet come to fruition.
A handful of Stoke City fans here in the Tavern gave to agree with the landlord, and feel that Crouchy should move to a club like Leeds United, who will undoubtedly give him a chance to shine in the second tier!
