Stoke targeting Bundesliga striker in January swoop

Anthony UjahStoke City supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are still enjoying their celebratory tipples following Saturday’s 1-0 win over champions Chelsea and they are really enjoying themselves.

It was the second time the Potters have defeated the Blues this season following another success over them in the Capital One Cup, earlier in the season.

Boss Mark Hughes has quickly turned his attentions to the January transfer window and a couple of Stoke fans by the pool table have been drawn to an interesting article, with ClubCall stating SportBild and claiming Werder Bremen striker Anthony Ujah could be a target.

The 25-year-old has been impressive over in Germany so far this season and Hughes is prepared to make a bid in January.

One Stoke fan is less than impressed and feels the gaffer should be targeting more Premier League experience to help a young squad, rather than relying on untried foreign imports.

Stoke fans… Would you welcome Ujah? Does the team need a striker? Who else would you like the manager to target?
