Manchester United and Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are ready for their side to end their interest in a quality striker, with an audacious figure required for his signature.
Amidst major interest in Borussia Dortmund’s star-man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the German side’s sporting director Joachim Watzke has told AS that they will consider a sale for an astronomical price.
‘If at any time an offer of €100m (£78m) or €120 million (£95m) for Aubameyang comes to us, then we will discuss,’
With 32 goals in 36 appearances this season, Aubameyang has cemented himself as one of the leading striker’s in Europe and a host of sides are keen on his signature this summer, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
However, the hefty price-tag may put interested parties off, especially Arsenal, as £78m would see the Gunners more than double their record transfer- and it would also smash Manchester United’s.
With a figure required that would see Aubameyang become one of the most expensive players in football history, it’s increasingly likely the player will stay put at Dortmund.
Is Aubameyang worth that incredible price? Let us know in the comments below!
