Whilst Liverpool have been one of the biggest spenders this window, they have also seen some notable departures, of course including their legendary captain, Steven Gerrard.
Now as the window creeps up to its closure on Tuesday night, a player who never really fulfilled his potential for the Reds, has bid farewell.
Fabio Borini becomes the second Italian striker in a matter of days to depart Anfield, after Mario Balotelli secured a deal that see’s him return to AC Milan on a season long loan deal. Both strikers will surely be hoping a move will reignite their chances of playing in the upcoming European Championships in 2016.
The Times have reported today that a deal that see’s the striker move to Sunderland for £10 million is all but confirmed, and see’s Borini return to a club he has formerly spent time at on loan.
What do you think of this departure Liverpool fans? Are you sad he did not get more of a chance at Anfield? Let us know below!
