Argentine forward Matías Suárez is attracting plenty of interest from England’s top clubs, Talksport reports.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the Anderlecht attacker.
Suárez, 23, played for his hometown team Belgrano in Argentina before making the move to Europe in 2008. Now in his fourth season at Anderlecht, Suárez has earned a reputation as a classy and consistent performer.
Suárez can play as as a secondary striker or winger, and as a result has scored a fair amount of goals as well as topping the assist charts.
So far this season, Suárez has scored eleven and racked up eleven assists in the Belgian Pro League. A big game performer, he also scored seven in Anderlecht’s Europa League run.
The one-time winners of the competition (1983) were knocked out in the Round of 32 by Dutch neighbours AZ Alkmaar. Suárez’s performances in the competition didn’t go unnoticed, and Anderlecht boss Ariël Jacobs will have a hard time keeping him in Brussels this summer.
Italian giants Juventus are in the market for a striker, and the Bianconeri are understood to be keen on Suárez, however the Argentine is said to prefer a move to England.
Suárez is a quality South-American forward in his mid-twenties, hopefully is the extent of any similarities with Liverpool namesake Luis.
