Success Just Around the Corner for Everton?

After a dire start to the season Assistant Manager Steve Round is certain success is on its way at Everton Football Club.

Having been tipped to be the ‘suprise package’ of the season by Sir Alex Ferguson who thought they would be challenging for a place in the top four, the only suprise has been how poor their results have been.

However, following the Toffees first win against Birmingham City before the international break Round has told the official club site that good times are on the way. Here are his uplifting and possibly rose-tinted words on Everton’s prospects for the season:

‘I have so much belief in these players and when you have a manager like David Moyes, who drives the players every day and won’t settle for less than the very best they can give, then you know success is on the way.’

‘We are not happy with where we are and we began addressing that against Birmingham.’

‘The team are determined to continue that and still believe they can finish in the upper echelons of this division.’

‘The improved result and level of performance from Birmingham has to continue against Liverpool,”‘he added.

‘If we can do that then I have every confidence we can go on a great run and end up very high in the table.’

Everton are certainly no strangers to poor starts to the season and are likely to come good in the long run, but have they squandered their chances of success already this season?
