The Sunderland fans are gathered at the bar sinking a few celebratory pints in The Transfer Tavern this evening and discussing a new addition that has been made to their squad.
The Sunderland Echo is reporting that the club have completed a deal to bring former Arsenal man Emmanuel Eboue to the club on a short term deal until the end of the season.
Eboue has been training with the club for the last few weeks after being without a club due to the expiry of his contract with Galatasaray at the end of last season.
Sam Allardyce has been looking for defensive reinforcements for sometime and revealed last week that the club had offered Eboue a short term deal last week.
Our landlord in The Tavern thinks Eboue is a shrewd signing for Sunderland and will add another option to what has been a poor season defensively for the Premier League strugglers.
As for the Sunderland fans they are delighted with the acquisition of Eboue and look forward to seeing him turn out for the club in the coming weeks.
Sunderland fans, is this a good deal? Let us know in the comments below!
