Sunderland eyeing class signing in bid to make statement ahead of relegation fight

Our Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a busy couple of days in the transfer market and, according to The Express, Kieran Tierney could be on his way.

Our local Black Cats fans here by the bar have been pretty glum again this year with them, seemingly as always, having to endure watching their side fight relegation.

David Moyes has not been able to break that cycle and so he’ll be hoping whoever he can bring in in the following couple of days will be able to help sort things out.

Certainly, the recruitment of Tierney would be impressive with the young full back forging a fine reputation for himself at the moment with Celtic.

Only a teenager, Tierney has been a mainstay in the Glasgow club’s side this season and an integral part of their charge to what looks like another Scottish top flight title.

At the weekend he played a part in the side’s record breaking win over Hearts that saw them stretch their unbeaten record to 27 games and our landlord believes he’d be a class signing for the Black Cats if they can get him.

Would you take Tierney, Sunderland fans? Let us know below!
