Sunderland will be desperate to improve on their recent results as they’ve drawn two of their last three games, which has halted their promotion push slightly.
The Black Cats have been impressive throughout the current campaign, but they will be desperate to ensure consistency from here on in as it could reward them with promotion.
Interestingly, it appears as if Jack Ross is eyeing a possible transfer swoop, as according to Sunday’s edition of the Football League paper (06/01) (via Daily Cannon), Sunderland are interested in signing Joe Willock.
Joe Willock looks set to go out on loan this month, after his brace in the FA Cup, with Sunderland one of the clubs showing an interest at this moment in time.
Indeed, there have been some question marks over the fact he still seems a bit ‘wiry’ at this age, but that reportedly hasn’t stopped Sunderland from showing an interest.
The midfielder has been prolific in the current campaign, scoring eight goals in 13 appearances in all competitions, so it comes as no surprise that the Black Cats are looking to lure the goalscoring midfielder to the Stadium of Light.
Joe Willock managed to grab a brace against Blackpool last time out, which will have only heightened Sunderland’s interest in bringing him in on loan.
Indeed, the Black Cats are in need of extra quality and inspiration as things have gone rather quiet in recent times, so bringing Willock to the club could prove vital.
