Sunderland making decision on signing experienced defender

Emmanuel EboueThe Sunderland fans ,who are competing in a darts tournament in The Transfer Tavern, are discussing reports of a potential new incoming at their club.

The Sunderland Echo is reporting that former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has been on trial with the Premier League strugglers and a decision will be made by Sam Allardyce later this week, as to whether or not to offer a deal until the end of the season.

Eboue made over 200 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and is used to the rigours of life in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old has spent the last three weeks training with the club after finding himself without a club following his release from Turkish side Galatasaray during the summer.

Allardyce is keen to shore things up at the back as the club look to secure their Premier League safety come the end of the season.

The Sunderland fans in The Tavern are delighted to be linked with a player like Eboue and feel his experience will make them a better defensive unit in what will be an important run in.

Sunderland fans, can Eboue help you survive this season? Let us know in the comments below!
