But one player who could be on his way to Sunderland is Tottenham flop Nacer Chadli, according to the The Mirror.
Reports suggest that Black Cats manager Gus Poyet has inquired about taking the Belgian international to the Stadium of Light on a season-long loan.
The Uruguayan manager would prefer to sign the 25-year-old on a season-long loan rather than a permanent deal as there is still doubts about how he copes with the Premier League.
Tottenham however would rather cash in on Chadli whilst they can, preferring a permanent move to a loan deal.
The North London club had been hoping the Belgian could be used as a makeweight in their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay.
New Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino was impressed by the quick midfielder, who scored key goals for Holland at the World Cup and he is willing to trade Chadli in any deal for the Dutchman.
However, reports suggest that Chadli is not interested in swapping the Premier League for the Eredivisie.
