Sunderland want to sign 30-year-old striker, £11M bid made by the Black Cats

DzekoPremier League outfit Sunderland have made an ambitious bid to bring former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko back to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

The Bosnian striker has been lined up by Black Cats’ boss Sam Allardyce as a striker to work in tandem with Jermain Defoe, with a bid of £11 million submitted to his current club Roma.

The news has drawn attention from the Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern and most of them are pretty happy at the potential of this addition coming to fruition.

The target men netted eight goals from his 31 Serie A appearances last season and Allardyce is hopeful that he can tempt the Italian giants into a sale this summer.

One Sunderland fan is recovering from a big Saturday night session with a few more pints in the Tavern and he thinks Dzeko is ambitious but could be shrewd, stating that the player could perform well at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland fans, would you welcome Dzeko to the club? Would he work well with Defoe?
