Everton have got a big summer ahead of them as manager Ronald Koeman looks to add to his squad with the new season getting ever-closer.
The Toffees have got European football to look forward to next season and its going to add plenty of fixtures to their schedule which means they need new blood to ensure the team is strong enough for both cup, league and Europa League games.
And according to our landlord, Koeman has got to get things right over the summer if he’s to bring in the right players for what is set to be a very hectic campaign indeed.
And he could be set to start adding to his team early doors, with the Birmingham Mail suggesting that Everton could be set to battle Birmingham City for talented French youngster Junior Sambia.
The 20-year-old holding midfielder plays for Chamois Niortais in Ligue 2 and has made 82 appearances since breaking into the first-team three years ago, aged just 17.
He’s a player that is renowned for his power in the middle-of-the-park and he’s been dubbed as a potential future Claude Makelele or N’Golo Kante.
With Harry Redknapp now at Birmingham City, the Blues have plenty of pulling power when it comes to bringing players in but surely Everton will be head and shoulders infront if this does turn into a full on transfer battle.
