West Ham supporters were left to drown their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern on Saturday after seeing their side lose at home to Tottenham.

Slaven Bilic’s men went into the clash with the North London outfit unbeaten in three matches in all competitions, two of which they won at the London Stadium against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League, and then Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

However, they were unable to keep their decent run of form going as a brace from Harry Kane and a Christian Eriksen strike secured Spurs a 3-2 victory at the weekend, leaving many of our resident Hammers fans frustrated come the final whistle.

And there is even more news coming out of the London Stadium if a recent report from Tutto Mercato Web (via Football.London) is anything to go by, which details that Inter Milan are lining up a surprise move for Andre Ayew.

The 27-year-old moved to the East London club from Swansea back in 2016 but has struggled to make a meaningful impact at West Ham, netting just eight goals in 33 matches for the side, six of which came last term in his debut season at the London Stadium.

And with just three starts in their six Premier League matches this time round, the Ghana international remains on the peripheries under Bilic, and he may not be there much longer at all as Italian heavyweights Inter Milan are reportedly eyeing up a January move for the forward.

The club’s boss Luciano Spalletti is reportedly a big fan and attempted to sign him during his stint in charge of Roma, and may look to reignite his interest in the New Year - a deal which could be helped should Ayew remain a bit-part player at West Ham between now and then.

Landlord’s verdict: There was much optimism among West Ham fans when Andre Ayew moved to the club back in 2016, but he has never really recovered from a troublesome start at Chelsea, which saw him subbed off through injury after just 35 minutes.

And he has since failed to nail down a regular place in Slaven Bilic’s starting eleven, and with just three starts in the Premier League so far this season, it looks to be following a similar trend this term as well.

And with Inter Milan reportedly circling ahead of a possible January move, Ayew’s West Ham career may well be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
