Our resident Swansea City fans have been intrigued by a report in The Sun which links their club with a move for Wales boss Chris Coleman.
Coleman’s negotiations with the Welsh FA are believed to have broken down, leaving him free to depart his post after Euro 2016.
Word around the bar has linked Premier League strugglers Swansea with a move for the 45-year old manager, with the Swans poised to relieve Francesco Guidolin of his duties at the Liberty Stadium in the summer.
However, basement dwellers Aston Villa, who are destined for relegation, are also keen on signing Coleman as a potential replacement for Remi Garde.
Both sides will be desperate to prevent the former Fulham manager from leaving for the continent, as Coleman could be tempted to return to Spain, where he has previously managed Real Sociedad.
The Welsh FA are keen to keep hold of Coleman and they are believed to be set to increase their deal after he recently rejected a two-year deal and a wage increase.
Our landlord believes that Coleman would be a great appointment for either Swansea or Villa.
