Swansea can secure a top-half finish if they sign this veteran central defender

The Swansea City fans feared that their team were doomed at the turn of the year, but the arrival of Paul Clement sparked a remarkable upturn in fortunes…

The former Real Madrid first-team coach guided the Swans to Premier League safety and offered the club’s supporters hope that the club can kick on during the 2017/18 campaign.

Swansea’s recruitment must be spot on during the summer if they are to ensure that this season becomes a mere blip and Clement will undoubtedly look to delve into his book of contacts to sign some solid players.

One club that Clement could look to return to is Chelsea and the departing John Terry could be a solid acquisition for the Welsh club if they are looking to strengthen at the back.

Terry has left the Blues after close to 20 years service at Stamford Bridge and it looks pretty certain that the former England captain will continue to play somewhere next season.

The 36-year-old would represent something of a risk for the Swans due to his age but given his experience of playing Premier League football and expertise at knowing what it takes to be successful, he certainly looks like a gamble worth taking.

One Swansea fan is here chatting to the landlord about the latest football transfer stories and he thinks that Terry would be a class signing for the club, stating that he could have a real impact on where the club finish next season should he sign.

Swansea fans, would you welcome Terry to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
