The Swansea City fans are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern discussing comments made by their team captain with his view on how the season has gone for the Welsh side.
The South Wales Evening post is reporting that Ashley Williams has branded the sides performance as unacceptable and that they need a long hard talk with each other before they leave at the end of the season.
It has been a season of woes for the Welsh side who look as though they need just one more win to secure their Premier League safety after a season of struggle. Speaking about the sides woes this season, Williams said:
“I can’t sum up this season yet, but it’s been a grind and the Villa game summed it up really. We didn’t play well but we ground out a result. It’s not been enjoyable. There’s been a lot of changes with the manager, it’s not been ideal.”
“It’s kind of one you want to get out of the way, be safe, see where you finish and try to put everything right for next season and have another good one. I think this season is an important one, we have got it wrong for whatever reason and it’s unacceptable for a club like Swansea to have a season like this, I believe, with the players that we have got.”
“We need to do better as a club and there is a lot of talking to be done in the summer.”
The Swansea fans in The Tavern are in complete agreement with Williams and think that the squad should have a hard look at their own performances and make sure they show improvements next season.
