Swansea City eye late move to capture exceptional midfielder

Swansea CityThe Swansea City fans are currently having a game of cards in The Transfer Tavern and discussing reports linking them with a move for a League One midfielder.

The South Wales Evening Post is reporting that the Premier League club are set to make a late swoop for Swindon Town midfielder Yaser Kasim.

The 24-year-old midfielder began his career with Tottenham Hotsour before taking in spells at Brighton & Hove Albion, Luton Town and Macclesfield Town before joining Swindon in 2014.

The midfielder played impressively for Swindon last season, and although his form has dipped a little this season reports suggest that Swansea are willing to pay Swindon’s £1 million asking price for the player.

Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin has expressed his desire to sign another midfielder before the window closes following the sale of Jonjo Shelvey to Newcastle United earlier this month,

The Swansea fans in The Tavern are not convinced by the news that the club are looking at Kasim and think there must be better options out there than a League One midfielder with no top flight experience.
