Swansea CityThe Swansea City fans are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening discussing reports that the club’s current manager would love to stay with the club.

Sky Sports is reporting that Francesco Guidolin wants to extend his stay at the club now that he has led them to near certain survival in the Premier League this season.

Speculation has been rife that Guidolin will be replaced at the end of the season by previous manager Brendan Rodgers, but the Italian has said he is not worried about the reports.

Speaking of his desire to remain with the club, Guidolin said:

“I do not feel uncomfortable. It is no problem; I am focused on my job. If I can work here in the future, I will be very happy. I am proud and happy to be here, but I do not know what the future holds. I can say that the most important thing is Swansea being safe, and afterwards we will see.”

“We will have talks in the summer, but my job is to help the team right now. I would like to stay, for sure, but it is not important now. We can speak about it another moment, because this moment is the most important thing, helping this club.”

“I like this area. I like Swansea, living in a smaller city by the seaside. I like this lifestyle, and I like the Premier League.”

The Swansea City fans in The Transfer Tavern would love to see Guidolin remain at the helm into next season, as they are out of by Rodgers lack of loyalty shown when Liverpool made a move for him when he was last in charge.
