Swansea’s fans will be having a celebratory drink at the Tavern tonight with reports coming from the Swansea City official website, Nathan Dyer has penned a new contract with the club, keeping him with the Swans until 2020.
The new deal with bring Dyer’s service at the club past the 10 year mark after the player left his youth team Southampton – after a series of loan spells away – in 2009.
The new deal follows Dyer’s Premier League winning loan spell with Leicester City, with whom he made 12 appearances and scored 1 goal.
The winger had experienced cup finals, european football and a promotion with Swansea and even got approached by the Jamaican Football Federation to play during their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Dyer has made just under 300 appearances for Swansea City and this new 10 year deal will add many more to that tally, he may even be in line for a testimonial match when he celebrates 10 years with the club in 2019.
