The Swansea City fans who can be regularly found here in the Transfer Tavern are getting slightly anxious at the prospect of a relegation fight, which they currently seem embroiled in.
A striker is high on the hierarchy’s list of targets and a new name has been added to the list of strikers already linked with the club today.
One Swans die-hard is flicking through the papers whilst enjoying a nice cold pint of lager and spots a piece in The Mirror that claims the south Wales club have bid £10 million for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.
Rhodes is one of the most prolific strikers in the Championship but is yet to play Premier League football during his career.
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks the move would be a risk worth taking for Swansea, as they desperately need some goals adding to their team.
He thinks that relegation looks nailed on unless they sign a striker during the transfer window and sees no reason why Rhodes won’t score goals regularly in the Premier League.
Swansea fans.. Would you welcome Rhodes to the club? Let us know in the comments below!
