There are some really interested faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern, as the Daily Mail claim that Swansea City’s Ben Davies is a rather hot property.
As our landlord notes, we had already discussed the fact that a fair few Premier League clubs were keen on the left back, but it seems that they will face a fight to land the player, with one of the biggest clubs in Spain also tracking the young starlet.
Atletico Madrid are constantly talked about these days in the tavern, with the rumours surrounding their star man Diego Costa and the links with Chelsea keeping us all entertained.
This is not to mention the fact they are enjoying a rather fabulous season on the field as well.
Now, they join the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City in their chase for the left back who is currently playing his trade in Wales with Swansea.
As one of our punters moves away from the pool table, he notes that the Welsh international defender has been brilliant since making his debut with the Swans over 60 games ago.
Whilst all the potential suitors have a rather long list of potential buys for the left back position, Davies is high up on those lists, and Swansea will face a fight to keep him.
Can you really see Atletico formalising their interest in Ben Davies? Let us know your thoughts below.
