The Daily Mail have certainly created a stir here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Swansea City’s Wilfried Bony is a wanted man.
After being linked with Manchester City and indeed Chelsea in the last few days, it seems that the Ivorian forward has now become a target for La Liga giants Real Madrid to boot.
The Spanish giants are amazingly looking to add to their attacking options after seeing on-loan star Javier Hernandez fail to impress and would be willing to pay the £25 million that Swans boss Garry Monk is demanding for Bony, who has been impressive throughout 2014.
Given Manchester City are constantly dealing with injuries to their first team forwards, we think that a dip into the January transfer window could well be the thing they need to show that they can defend their title and pip Chelsea to the post come May.
Manchester City fans. Do you think Bony isn’t Real Madrid class? Just how much would you be willing to pay for him? Let us know your thoughts below.
