Swansea City striker Alvaro Vazquez has admitted that he is eager to make his loan deal permanent at the Liberty Stadium, according to The Mirror.
The 22-year-old has been given increased playing chances in the last few weeks after the usual first choice strike partnership Michu and Wilfried Bony both picked up injuries and here in the tavern we have been impressed with his dynamic displays.
Vazquez has joined the Swans on loan from La Liga outfit Getafe until the end of the season but he has now confirmed that he wants to extend his stay at the Liberty Stadium under Michael Laudrup.
He said: “It’s a shame to have the chance because the other players are injured but I’ve been working hard in case the chance came along. I will do my best if the boss picks me to play.
“I am really happy playing in the Premier League. I like Swansea, I am living here with my family and I would love to stay at the club for longer.”
The Jacks are one of the featured teams in the bar this week ahead of their intriguing live clash against Newcastle United on Wednesday and Vazquez is expected to perform once more for Laudrup’s team.
