Swansea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern could be waving goodbye to one of their most disappointing transfers in recent years.
According to Get French Football News via talkSPORT, Lille want to complete the signing of Eder from Swansea before the start of Euro 2016.
The Portuguese striker was loaned out to the Ligue 1 side in the January transfer window, after failing to contribute anything to the Swansea first team.
The 28-year-old’s fortunes have improved since moving to France as he has scored six times in 15 games for Lille – it’s nothing to get excited about, but it’s a big improvement considering he didn’t score in his last 15 games for the Swans.
He’s also managed to win a French League Cup runners-up medal in his time at France and it seems to be a good fit for Eder, so it would make sense for all parties to agree a transfer for him.
Our resident Swansea fans over by the bar here in the Transfer Tavern knew this news would be coming, with them all agreeing that Eder simply hasn’t adjusted to life in the Premier League.
