Swansea City to approach experienced South American manager

BielsaThe Swansea City fans who are competing in a darts tournament in The Transfer Tavern are discussing a reported approach for a new manager for next season.

The Express is reporting that the Welsh side have made contact with former Chile head coach Marcelo Bielsa about becoming the club’s manager for next season.

Bielsa was linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Everton last week but after Merseyside club distanced themselves from the South American the hierarchy at Swansea have decided to make their move.

It is thought the although talks have taken place no type of negotiations have begun, and the clubs prospective new owners want him in place before their £140 million takeover is completed.

The news will be a blow to current boss Francesco Guidolin who thought he had done enough to see his contract extended at the end of the current campaign after leading the club to safety.

The Swansea fans in The Tavern are not convinced that Bielsa is the right man for the job and think his lack of English will have an adverse effect on the side.

Would Bielsa be a good fit for the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below!
