Swansea could lose international, relegation rivals thought to be keen

Our Swansea City fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been slightly more upbeat this week but, according to The Mirror, they could lose Neil Taylor.

The Swans have seen a slight upturn in fortunes under Paul Clement and their win at Anfield last weekend underlined the quality and fight that they do still have in their squad.

They’ll be looking for more of that over the coming months, then, but it looks like the Welsh international could be off and helping another club fight relegation instead.

According to the report, Sunderland are interested in getting Taylor in to help bolster their defensive areas with them battling the drop once again this year.

Of the two, our landlord reckons it’s the Black Cats with the worse chance of survival this season and so the signing of Taylor – should it happen – could prove vital.

Taylor has seen his spot in the Welsh side taken by the arrival of Martin Olsson this month and so he might be tempted to jump ship.

Our landlord reckons David Moyes will really have to sell it to him, though, as the Stadium of Light is looking a downcast place at the moment.

Should Taylor move? Let us know below!
