Our Swansea City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling desolate with Bob Bradley getting sacked but they could be about to enjoy an upturn in fortunes according to The Daily Star.
That’s because the report is suggesting that Chris Coleman is their prime target to replace the out-going American in a bid to turn their season around before it is too late.
Bradley just couldn’t get things together with the Swans and lasted just eleven games after replacing Francesco Guidolin earlier this year.
A win against Crystal Palace 5-4 was by far the highlight of his brief stint and now it appears the current Wales boss could be in the frame to succeed him.
Coleman was one of the biggest winners at EURO 2016 as he saw his stock continue to rise at the helm of the Welsh side.
They reached the semi-finals of their first major tournament since 1958 and were beaten by eventual winners Portugal.
He’ll be looking to take them to the 2018 World Cup, too, but with his experience in the Premier League with the likes of Fulham he could also be a far more suitable contender for the Swans job than Bradley was – our landlord certainly thinks so, at least.
