Swansea eye move for MLS star

Reports from HITC suggest that Swansea are keeping a close eye on Columbian international Fabian Castillo.

The 23-year-old began his career in his native Columbia with Deportivo Cali ,before making the move to the MLS with FC Dallas for $800,000.

Since joining Dallas his career has gone on from strength to strength and he has made over 130 appearances for the club scoring over 30 times, his form was rewarded with a new five-year deal back in February.

Impressive performances for his club led to international accolades and he was called up for his national side for the first time in September.

Castillo was number one in the MLS’s 24 players under 24 to watch, whilst he also holds the record for being the fastest player to play in the MLS at present.

Swansea manager Gary Monk is hopeful of adding to his squad in January and will be hoping he can sign his number one targets as the club look to push on again this season.

Swansea fans in The Transfer Tavern are happy at the prospect of getting a speedy winger on the books at the Liberty Stadium.
