Swansea City will be preparing themselves for a tough old 2018 as new manager Carlos Carvalhal attempts to stave off relegation for the Welsh club after a poor opening four months of the season.
The former Sheffield Wednesday manager has his work cut out, but he has made a positive enough start at the Liberty, and there’s a strong belief among the home fans that they might just pull off the escape and maintain their Premier League status.
To do so though, the Swans are going to need to have a good January in the transfer market, and our landlord thinks that the club need to be shrewd in moving for some excellent loan players as well as attempting to pick up the odd bargain.
One such player he thinks could do a job with the Swans is current Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke, who despite a positive campaign overall, finds himself on the periphery of the action at Anfield due to the form of Roberto Firmino.
A move to Swansea though and the chance to team up with former Chelsea teammate Tammy Abraham could be the making of Solanke, who has bags of talent but is just struggling for minutes.
If Solanke can get into a flow with his game time and start delivering the goods, then Swansea might well just beat the drop and have the Liverpool striker to thank for it.
Swansea and Liverpool fans, what do you think? Good deal? Let us know in the comments!
