It looks as if Shaun Wright-Phillips will leave Manchester City once again, but this time he will join up with his old boss Mark Hughes at Fulham.
After much discussion over the England winger’s contract, Roberto Mancini will allow Wright-Phillips to leave as he is no longer required at Eastlands. And with a loan move set to be completed in time for the weekend, it seems that Fulham will avoid having to sign Wright-Phillips for the four-year contract that he wanted and will avoid his huge £70,000 a week wage demands.
Out of favour at Man City, Fulham look set to swoop for the services of a once talented young prospect, but is it a gamble for a 29 year-old down on confidence, form and perhaps, ability?
Chelsea lost £12 million on Wright-Phillips so can Mark Hughes help him rediscover the form he showed at Man City the first time round?
